2022-05-04 914

MET Group has signed a lease contract for more than 4,000 sqm of office space in the BudaPart district, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal. With a lease signed with the European energy company MET Group, the BudaPart City office building, inaugurated last June, has exceeded 60% occupancy. Designed by Fazakas Architects, led by Ybl Prize winner György Fazakas, the LEED Gold certified office building was built with the latest energy efficiency criteria in mind.

"It is an important step in the life of our Group, which is active in 13 European countries, that MET's more than 300 Hungarian employees are now working in one office in Budapest, too, after moving to BudaPart City", said Gergely Szabó, MET Central Europe regional chairman.

The location, the size of the green space, the inspiring environment, the easy accessibility, and the diverse portfolio of services are the key criteria for tenants choosing BudaPart, says developer Property Market, adding that the premium tenant mix of the BudaPart City office building, which opened in summer 2021, is clear feedback that the type of thoughtfulness that has resulted in the creation of a complex and multifunctional urban district in line with modern urban development guidelines has become a strong selection criterion.

"I am delighted to welcome another top-class tenant to our BudaPart City office building. After the successful leasing and sale of our first office building, BudaPart Gate, we are now in the process of selling the last areas of BudaPart City. I am confident that MET Group employees will also be pleased to occupy their new offices and discover BudaPart's services, where they can spend their working days in an exceptional working environment," said Károly Katkó, BudaPart's director of leasing.

"The numbers clearly prove that the criteria we use to design and animate our neighborhoods are excellent and add value to others. They further inspire us to truly create a category and continue on the path we have started, filling BudaPart with cultural and community-building programs that will make people who work in our office buildings like to stay here after working hours," added Mihály Schrancz, CEO of Property Market.
