A new star has appeared recently and is rising on the office market in the downtown theatre district of Budapest. Podium Office building was vacated one and a half years ago, and has since undergone a complete renovation. The building is owned and operated by an Austrian investor, S IMMO AG and its Hungarian subsidiary, while marketing and the exclusive leasing consultancy is done by Colliers International Hungary. So is another office building in S IMMO’s portfolio: Blue Cube which received a BREEAM In-Use Very Good classification in the Asset and Building management categories.
Podium office building offers highly efficient premium office spaces totalling 5,700 sqm, with a breath-taking panoramic view over the Budapest skyline. “Pódium office building is ready for 2016 with a fresh look and upgraded technical standards. The façade has been refurbished, a fully redesigned attractive and modern reception area and elevator lobbies were built. We also expanded the terraces, renewed the building technology and installed a 4-pipe fan coil system. Once the refurbishment works are over we will apply for a BREEAM certificate to show our commitment towards sustainability” – Katalin Sermer, country manager of S IMMO Hungary summarized the improvements.
Most office units offer large private terraces where the tenants have the possibility to conduct outdoor business meetings or staff discussions or simply take a rest with a cup of good coffee. Despite the central location both the terraces and also the office units are very quiet providing a perfect working environment.

Meanwhile another office building of S IMMO, Blue Cube received a BREEAM In-Use Very Good classification in Asset and Building management categories, said Katalin Sermer. The office building was built in 2002, its modern, spacious, light and sunny offices and its flexible partitioning make it attractive for medium and large companies. Vacant units are available starting from 300 sqm up to 5,000 sqm. The building is located on the Váci office corridor with an excellent public transport access.
Both events indicate that S IMMO’s office buildings are continuously strengthening their market position.
